By Western blot,pneumococcal cell wall proteins were transfered to PVDF membrane and hybridized with macrophages labelled with NHS Biotion,six proteins were found.Their molecular weight were 20,30,37,59,66,85 kilodalton respectively,and their biological properties,roles remain to be further investigated.This work provided significant foundation for the understanding of pneumococcal pathogenesis,the further researching,developing of efficacious conjugate vaccines and antimicrobial drugs.
