Abstract:Hypertension is a phenomenon that blood pressure on blood vessel wall keeps higher than normal when it flows in blood vessels. Long-term hypertension can lead to serious diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke. Its pathogenesis is still not fully clear. However, more and more evidence shows that intestinal flora is closely related to hypertension. This article reviews the changes of intestinal flora structure under hypertension, the molecular mechanism of intestinal flora and its metabolites involved in regulating blood pressure, the detection technology of intestinal flora imbalance, and the potential use of intestinal probiotics in the treatment of hypertension.
