Abstract:Objective: To explore the correlation of sperm cervical mucus penetration function with semen routine analysis parameters, sperm morphology and sperm DNA fragment index. Methods: a retrospective analysis was made of 130 men who were evaluated for fertility in the outpatient department of our hospital from February 2020 to March 2021. According to the results of sperm cervical mucus penetration test, they were included in groups A, B and C respectively. The semen pH value, semen volume, sperm concentration, sperm motility, total sperm count, the percentage of normal sperm and sperm DNA fragment index were statistically analyzed. Results: one way ANOVA showed that there were significant differences in sperm concentration (F = 10.04, P < 0.05), sperm motility (F = 58.12, P < 0.05), total sperm count (F = 9.99, P < 0.05), percentage of normal sperm (F = 9.18, P < 0.05) and sperm DNA fragment index (F = 14.21, P < 0.05). Conclusion: sperm cervical mucus penetration function is significantly affected by sperm concentration, sperm motility, total sperm count, percentage of normal sperm and sperm DNA fragment index. The higher the sperm concentration, sperm motility, total sperm count and the percentage of normal sperm, the better the sperm cervical mucus penetration function. The higher the sperm DNA fragment index, and the worse the sperm cervical mucus penetration function.
